Function of the Job
The purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance to Ubisoft Mumbai and Pune employees who are using their IT equipment. Be in charge of the staff's computer hardware, software, networks, and peripherals, as well as their evaluation, installation, and upkeep. In addition, the individual works on IT projects to boost the productivity of users.
Duties
1. Provide desktop technical help.
Install, maintain, debug, and upgrade a wide range of computer hardware, software, networks, and peripherals.
In the ticketing system, respond to user inquiries and requests for services.
Using diagnostic and application software, determine the source and nature of computer malfunction. Adjust, fix, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, with more complicated networking issues referred to network administrators or supervisors.
React to requests for computer assistance from employees having issues with hardware, software, or networking; respond to questions about system functioning and other computer-related technologies; and, as appropriate, provide introductory training and support on new hardware and software to employees.
Provide non-routine procedures/policies with occasional job guidance or orientation.
Problems should be documented and assessed before being resolved or routed as appropriate.
Assist in the deployment of network software and problem diagnostics in collaboration with network administrators.
Follow up with the users and keep them informed of their progress.
Provide consumers with uninterrupted help whenever feasible by utilising a good working knowledge of operating systems and web apps.
Follow the on-site computer assistance schedule.
Perform other tasks that aren't directly related to computer support.
New client-side hardware and software are being tested and evaluated.
Assist in the setup of benchmark production workstations.
Upgrades to hardware and software systems should be recommended and implemented to ensure their long-term viability.
Adhere to the global IT group's standards and processes.
Keep an eye out for new computer hardware and software.
To determine purchasing specifications, evaluate the functional need.
Contribute to the management of IT assets.
2. Assists in the completion of desktop projects and tasks

Skills Required

In a 100+ user environment, 0 to 1 year of desktop support expertise is required.
Cisco switches and routers are understood, as well as IOS setup.

A working understanding of WAN acceleration technologies is required.
