About our group: Seagate is developing a new storage software platform designed for cloud object stores and focused on scalability, extensibility, and reuse. The developer will be responsible for the development of a core system of the product.
Seagate Jobs Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the development of Storage Core system in the C programming language
- Work with the internal Seagate team, its customers, and the network storage industry to develop a resilient and high performing storage platform
- Resolve issues related to large scale data organization, algorithm scalability, asynchronous communication, efficient concurrency, reliability, and fault tolerance
- Development of assigned features in distributed storage system under the guidance of technical lead.
- Implement feature additions/enhancements to the source code
- Debug reliability issues of the system and fix them
- Modifying source code to improve performance, enhance stability, and to fix defects
- Collaborate with other development teams to ensure full integration of all parts of the system
Additional Expertise
- Experience E-security requirements and procedures are included as an added bonus.
- It's a benefit, but it's not essential if you know how to use software and write user manuals.
- Excel and PowerPoint are among Microsoft Office's most used tools.
- Ability to spot and address problems ahead of time.
