Qualifications for the OTET 2021
OTET candidates must meet the following basic requirements.
Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% grades and a two-year Elementary Education Diploma (CT or D. El. Ed.). OR, in line with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002, a Higher Secondary (or similar) diploma with at least 45 percent marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR a Higher Secondary (or equivalent) diploma with a minimum of 50% and a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education degree (B. El. Ed.). OR, a Higher Secondary (or equivalent) diploma with a minimum of 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from any NCTE Recognized Institution, with the condition that the person so appointed as a teacher must complete a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognised by the NCTE
Graduation plus a two-year elementary education diploma (category B) (by whatever name known). OR a bachelor's degree in education and a graduation with at least 50 percent marks (B.Ed.).
Graduation with at least 45 percent marks and a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in compliance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations. OR, a bachelor's degree in elementary education plus a high school diploma (or its equivalent) with at least 50 percent marks (B. El. Ed.). OR a 4-year B.A./ B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./ B.Sc. Ed. with at least 50 percent of the marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and a B.A./ B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./ B.Sc. Ed. with at least 50 percent of the marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent).
OR a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% honours and a one-year B. Ed (Special Education). Candidates belonging to the SC, ST, SEBC, and PWD categories will be permitted a 5% minimum qualifying mark relaxation in Higher Secondary or degree level, as the case may be. Candidates with minimum grades in Higher Secondary or graduate level, as applicable, at the time of admission to teacher education courses are also eligible to take the OTET.
Persons with a D.Ed. (Special Education) or B.Ed. (Special Education) degree must complete a 6-month NCTE-approved Special Program in Elementary Education after being appointed.
Persons with qualifications or in the last year of any of the teacher education programmes (approved by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) can apply in the appropriate category.
Persons who are periodically certified eligible by the state government, the NCTE, or the government of India.
Persons with a D.Ed. (Special Education) or B.Ed. (Special Education) degree must complete a 6-month NCTE-approved Special Program in Elementary Education after being appointed. Persons covered by Paragraph 2 (III) will be advised of their ability to appear in examination papers once their eligibility has been determined by the government.
Exam Pattern for OTET 2021
The OTET 2021 Exam Date will be announced by officials from the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. In August 2021, the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test will be held. However, as soon as the OTET 2021 Exam is announced, we will update this page.

Curriculum OTET 2021
In the OTET 2021 Exam, questions will be asked from the disciplines listed below.
Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies are all covered in Paper I.
Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics & Science, and Social Studies are covered in Paper II.
Exam Schedule OTET 2021
Paper-I and Paper-II will be the two OTET papers.
Each paper's test will take a total of 212 hours to complete.
Each question will be a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ), having four options, one of which will be accurate.
In non-language disciplines, the question papers will be bilingual (Odia and English).
Odia, Hindi, Telugu, Urdu, and Bengali will be offered in Language – I. For the Language-I subject, the candidate must select one of the above languages.
For all candidates, the Language-II subject is English.
Negative marking is prohibited.

The OTET 2021 Admit Card is available for download at the official website. Candidates who do not bring their OTET 2021 Admit Card to the exam will be disqualified.
