- Assistant Superintendent : Ex-Servicemen/ Retirees/ pensioners at least Subedar/ Warrant Officer/ Fleet Master, Chief Petty Officer). Sub-Inspector, Inspector Retired from Police & Para Military Force.
- Welfare Officer : Ex-Servicemen/ Retirees/pensioners at least Subedar/Warrant Officer/ Fleet Master, Chief Petty Officer). Sub-Inspector, Inspector Retired from Police & Para Military Force

Model Jail Chandigarh Recruitment Salary Details
The following is how the remuneration is determined:
- The remuneration of retiree/ pensioner of his/ her engagement will be fixed at the stage i.e last basic pay drawn by him before retirement minus pension before commutation plus DA as applicable from time to time. In the case of retirees/ pensioners who are covered under any pension scheme shall be paid remuneration equivalent to 50% of the last basic pay drawn before retirement plus DA as applicable from time to time.
- The retirees/ pensioners from the Central Government shall be engaged at the remuneration of last basic pay drawn before retirement minus pension before commutation plus DA as applicable from time to time as per the 7th Central Pay Commission.
- The Retirees from Boards/ Corporations shall be engaged at the remuneration of 50% of the last basic pay drawn before retirement plus DA as applicable from time to time.
Model Jail Chandigarh Recruitment Selection Process 2021
The Selection Committee will interview retirees/pensioners and nominate a panel of acceptable candidates from among the applicants for engagement of contract positions.
