University Of North Bengal NBU Recruitment 2021 – Educational Qualifications Details

Professor

i. An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in the concerned/allied relevant discipline and high-quality published work, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work, with a minimum of ten (ten) research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals and a total research score of 120 (one hundred twenty) as per the criteria set forth in Appendix II,
Table 2.
iv. A minimum of ten years of university teaching experience as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, as well as research experience at the corresponding level at a university/national level institution with evidence of guiding doctoral candidates. Relevant papers, such as Grade Pay, LPC, Salary Slip, etc., must be used to support teaching/research experience.

Associate Professor
i. With a Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant fields, you'll have a strong academic track record.
ii. A Master's degree with a minimum GPA of 55 percent is required (or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
iii. A minimum of 8 (eight) years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/ research position equivalent to Assistant Professor in a university, or an Accredited Research Institution/ Industry, with a minimum of 7 (seven) publications in peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals and a total research score of 75 (seventy-five) as per criteria in Appendix II, Table 2, and a total research score of 75 (seventy-five) as per criteria in Relevant papers, such as Grade Pay, LPC, Salary Slip, etc., must be used to verify teaching/research experience.

Assistant Professor

i) A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point–scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/ relevant/ allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/ SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/ Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case, maybe exempted from NET/ SLET/ SET:

University Of North Bengal NBU Recruitment 2021 – Age Limit Details

For the position of Assistant Professor, the upper age limit is 37 (thirty-seven) years on January 1st of the year of the advertisement, with a 5-year relaxation for SC/ST candidates and a 3-year relaxation for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates. Candidates with disabilities are eligible for a ten-year age relaxation (save for the position of Physical Education). Candidates who hold a Ph.D. degree are eligible for a 5-year age relaxation.
