Qualifications
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Anticipate key technical risks and failure modes in the Projects well in advance
• Lead the evaluation of technological choices in Projects, aligned with cost, segmentation and lifecycle of the offer
• Up-to-date competition analysis of similar offers
• Thorough knowledge of User / Installation habits
• Act as a point of technical escalation and resolution during the project lifecycle as it relates to technical decisions
• Assist the technical Manager with scoping, identification of project deliverables, and creation of project-specific documentation such as functional specifications, technical specifications, etc.
• Provide technical consultancy to department staff and participate in development efforts including proposals, development plans, and presentations, as directed
• Effective Utilization of technical resources to achieve R&D efficiency
• LoB technical representative to validate and assure technical deliverables with engineering
• Contribute towards competency improvement ( ODi & Outside ODi )
• Provides support to managers through formal and informal interfaces, technical/ business reports and presentations.
• Ensure and facilitate detailing of Design Specification (Plastic, Sheet metal, Machined parts) , GD &T ,V&V plan, etc
• Support & Guide DFMEA, Design Reviews along with Project Team members
• Good knowledge of Installation / user
• Accountable for technical deliverables for medium – large complex LS projects
? Be a part of Development of Technical Specification from OM specification
? Accountable of requirement traceability ( T-REX )
? Accountable for triggering Patentable ideas from the Project
? Accountable for product cost, quality ,time and risk management , etc
? Ensure manufacturing drawings in accordance with product /System specification
• Ensures that our Product Definition Files are complete and up to date
• Responsible for Product Architecture development
• Review and validate Verification and Validation plan
• Ensure product performance and system consistency
• Ensure stage gate deliverable from OD
• Review and Validate functional chains in accordance with product /System specification
• Validate the prototype as per requirement
• Responsible for implementation of DFSS ( FMEA … etc) tools and quality Process
• Conduct technical review meetings
• Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in technology
• Manage and participate to remote multi national meetings
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Demonstrated proficiency with various forms of front-end development
• Extensive experience with a variety of Low voltage Equipment/ Switchboard products
• Highly conversant in Product standards ( IEC 61439)and best practices
• Expert in design standards
• Good knowledge of analytics and simulation.
• Knowledge of latest industry trends
• Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able exhibit technical thought leadership, amongst both peers and clients
• Passionate team member, who can motivate individuals across different disciplines and demonstrate cross functional collaboration
• Excellent problem solving ability, with a knack for technical innovation
• Ability to communicate with business and technical audiences and produce collateral suitable for multiple audience types
• Ability to interface with end customer for technical argument and solutions for customer issues.
